Depends on how many you make and quality you are seeking? Moulds come in many variations. If you are quoted a cheap mould chances are you will get product that is not of high quality. When making the moulds, are they using tool steel or alumimum? How many cavity? 

Cost can range from $1250 to $8000 depending on the circumstances. Do you own the mould or does the factory? Don’t assume you own the moulds. You need to habe contracts with the factory which is normally done by a trading company acting in your behalf. 

There are many trading companies in China that do not act in the best interest of clients, when an issue does arise you will know who does and does not have your best interest in mind. Also mould cost can be affected by the amount of production you will order on first order. Lots of variables!
