Given that there are multiple objective in the design of the injection mould cooling system,it is not likely that every objective will be simultaneously optimized.The goal is for the plastic mold designer to reach a good compromise,such that fast and uniform cooling is achieved in a cost effective manner.The following seven step analysis is provided to support the mold design decisions that have to be made.Afterwards,some common cooling issues and plastic mould injection designs are developed.
